More about the material
HuskeeCup uses coffee husks as a raw material to produce the material for its product. Coffee husk is an organic waste material in coffee production, which is created during the coffee grinding stage. By using these waste husks, the production of these pots is sustainable, and by purchasing a Huskee coffee cup you are helping to recycle hundreds of tons of waste coffee husk material.
More about the company
Huskee is a design company from Australia that creates sustainable products. Their first product, the HuskeeCup, was a reusable coffee cup that was made from coffee husks, a waste product from growing coffee. Every year, millions of tons of coffee husks are thrown away as waste in coffee production. Huskee uses this material to create beautiful and sustainable to-go coffee mugs. These mugs are available in natural (cream) or charcoal (dark grey) colors and in two different sizes. The material is resistant to chipping and cracking and is designed to last for years and years.
Huskee also received B Corporation certification and a 2018 Good Design Award.
