Description
SlavSocks Ajvar – 43/44
Slav socks made in Slovenia
The iconic white SlavSocks Ajvar – 43/44 are now made in a modern way and are part of sustainable fashion. They are made in Slovenia and are the work of Slovenian artist Tina Mentol.
The purpose of SlavSocks is to connect people who share the same love for burek and rakia through sustainable fashion pieces that are worn as part of a common identity. Motifs on socks are part of different cultures, sometimes they have different names, but they are still an important part of the Slav community and that is why we all feel a deep connection and nostalgia for them.
The inspiration for the socks was Yugonostalgia. Food and drink that connects us all and which still cannot be missing at gatherings. Everything from summer picnics with čevapčiči and ajvar to winter sarmas and rakija for every day! The collection was inspired by the lifestyle of the 80s. The colors of the Yugo socks symbolize the colors of the Yugoslav flag.
All socks are made of öeko tex certified organic cotton.
